  • The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) initiated in 1996. It offers B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. Presently, students are offered M.Sc. courses in Controls, Electronics, Power Systems, Software, and Artificial Intelligence. Today, the ECE department hosts more than 300 undergraduate students, 50 graduate students, and 15 full-time academic staff. In addition to providing educational laboratories and facilities for supplementing the courses, the department accommodates more than 10 highly specialized research laboratories directed by faculty members; these laboratories are constantly active in conducting academic and industrial research.

    The ECE Faculty has strong research ties with industry and has significantly increased its collaborations and joint planning activities in recent years. Research activities in the ECE department cover diverse are as described in the followings.
